"Hi. Nice to see you" says Arne and smiles into the camera. For his followers, he looks back at his former theatre work via video. Five years of documents of a social upheaval, five years of education, five years of position determination, five years at the poverty threshold. He talks about species extinction, climate change, water shortage, flight, poverty, injustice, the fortress of Europe, wars, and fascism. What else was theatre to do than repeat the stories of the upcoming catastrophe? "The whole world is a stage", says Arne. "And its collapse is a delight."
The Filmwinter Stuttgart presents the interactive live stream version of #Es ist zu spät (It Is Too Late)# developed for the Impulse Theater Festival and Theaterdiscounter (Berlin) in which the audience can decide via chat at every moment whether they would like to see the live reenactment or the recorded original.
The production was already presented at the Monologfestival in 2019, Festival Impulse in 2020, Augenblick mal! in 2021, Berliner Theatertreffen / Stages unboxed in 2021.
A co-operation of Wand 5 e.V. (Media Space as part of the Filmwinter Stuttgart), Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart, and CCCS.
internil is a label for research-based and inter-media theatre and performance projects. For several years, we have been working almost solely with material from the internet treated with the help of digital hard and software for live events. Due to year-long research of post-political phenomena in the net we are also in the consulting business.
Our main method of working for more than 12 years has been live reenactments in copy and paste dramaturgies. In one way or another, the presence of the audience has always been part of the production. We have been documenting our works on this homepage since 2005 and release information on our current plans.
